i have a '98 nissan 200sx(U.S.) that had a ga16de. i did a swap to a sr20ve(my first real project!!!) i got engine, transmission, ecu and harness. the only thing is that the color codes and different, still trying to figure out the three plugs under the dash on the car. which wires to splice into to get the engine started.
i think it is a cvt transmission....would it be better to use a ecu and harness from a sr20de?? do i need to swap out stuff like the transmission, distributer, ect....sorry for sounding like a retard......its my first real project:o
i pretty much need to get the engine started, just to make sure it runs. i've had it for about 9 months now, its already in the car, but nobody here in town seems to know squat about it, or nissans in general, just honda. any suggestions?????
i looked at that web, but is that the sr20ve that will be the same if its made in japan??? should i ignore the color codes and just go by the pin #'s?? it seems that the harness for the sr20de looks different on the web site as well.
SR20VE was a Japan only engine. All the ones in the UK are the same as you get in the US, EX-JDM. There is definitely the possibility that the UK sr20de loom/ecu etc are different from your ones though.
