Take a page from a Turbo B18C since there compression number are higher. They don't run high boost.

Yeah I was looking at the B18 motors. I guess I could run like a GT35 on like 15lbs and be good at the HP I want. But it would be super topended. Whatever. Im still not sure what I want to do.

I dont see a problem making 450 WHP on 10.3 to 1 compression. The only problem I see is if the pistons crown can take that type of boost. They are a little thin from the top to the rings.

I f you want to run a 10 plus comp I would focus in to lower the temp in the combustion chamber , there are several ways to do it.
Like Andreas said I dont see probs to make 400 plus on a high comp motor.
My rr pistons have seen 25 plus lbs so many times that I cant count ... nothing have been happend , with the right parts and tune it can be done .
Cheers.

I personally know someone that was running 12psi on a bone stock VE with cam gears and a T3/60-1 turbo and was getting 360-380whp. Multiple runs on the motor and then I owned the motor and just sold it to another forum member. That is real numbers, not just theory. It had a calum real time on it by the way.

have you considered swapping the ve head onto the det block and the det head onto the ve block. Then have your vet with a botom end to suit and still run nitrous on the all motor det

i am sure 450hp could be supported then

cant you go with det pistons for 9.3:1 CR?

i would think around 300-350whp could be had on a fairly low boost level with no problems. On a bigger turbo like the one you got it should keep down air temps enough to resist detonation. Should make for a really nice, high revving setup that will make power all the way across the band safely.
