the best sr20ve intake manifold?
So what have people found works?

i have noticed a few people playing with custom manifolds and getting decent gains. So what is the recipe for a good manifold on the sr20ve?

also to get the ball rolling here is mine, however it is going on a turbo set up so it isnt quite as important as na, but every bit makes a difference

Tried the 02 Induction manifold. It used the lower half and made plenum. It was too short for all motor but prob kick ass for turbo.

EDIT: ^^ I didn't mention the o2 induction manifold, because it's no longer manufactured. (Unless of course, someone wants to lend me one, and I can have AFI reproduce/mass-produce.)

But, it would be a badass manifold to use

From what I've been told, most people go for the N1 IM with N1 throttle body.

from people i talk to the N1 basically makes no power over the stock 20ve one

^^^ when your staying NA. for turbo guys it's different because of the shorter intake runners.

the manifold im using made a pretty nice difference. if the runners were a bit longer it would have made more power... i made i beleive like 8 more whp with the one im using. its got an n1 tbody, 6.5in runners and a 2.2 liter plenum. if you search you can find more about it, along with a graph.

John is not making them anymore ??? I just bought one this summer .....are you sure ??? I guess I am glad I bought one for my DET+VE project !!!

I just shot him an email to see if they are still being made

I've never really read up on intakes that much. What diffrance does the runner length and plenum size make? And what/why would it recipe be diffrant for a turbo. Man, talk about feeling like a noob.

I don't know about the best, but I do know what doesn't work. Tried out the O2 manifold for Daxx and loss 10 whp. The runners were too short for NA. It had 5" runners and 2.5 liter plenum.

So far, I would say Cory and Andreas intake manifolds are working. They are able to extend the rpm range with their manifolds.

If you look at Corys 6.5 in runner length and mine which is about 7.5 in. You can come up with an idea.

The factory SR20VE 20Vs runner length is about 8.5 in

I do not think that plenum volume will do anything no matter how large it is as far as loosing HP, but I am sure at some time if it gets to small you will loose.
