Resonator surgery
Has anyone ever opened one up? I have a 6" magnaflow reso on my car it keeps the 3" quiet i want to know if anyone has every flat sided the chamber before?

Ground clearance is very poor and i basically want to make the bottom side of the reso flat which will gain me 3/4" clearance...

Is the material packed in way to tight to close it back up again, will it affect sound in a bad way ect.

Cheers

it wont deaden the sound as much if you do that, becuase you wont have as much material in there. the material isnt packed that tight, you should be able to get it back together. but there are resonators out there that have a flat side to them. i think there used for truggys.
