^^^second

as that chip will be useless for e85, plus with nistune much more flexibility

autech vz-r has higher comp then normal DE. when bumping up the timing its like having the faster Oem De.

If the nistune works on the ve ecu id like someone to back this up as this is the first iv heard of it? I gather you lot are talking about de ecus with ve maps on them??

I have an n1 and have installed a board in it. The only board i could easily and cheaply get my hands on.

Imo the factory timing map isnt the best which is one reason this car underperforms the other is the factory exhaust but all being equal both cars run that so that shouldnt be a problem.

The main obvious difference between them is the timing maps. The standard vzr is significantly more advanced in alot of areas.

I have hit the track against another vzr and easily outperformed it but its a little unfair with the 9000rpm limit i must say. I deff felt i had more pull over the other vzr throughout the rpm band though.

TBO i feel that my car even with modified timing and a good fuel map still doesnt perform perfectly to my liking.

i run a nistune board in my SR20DE ecu, running my SR20VE motor
I believe they actually list the sr16ve binaries on their website, so likely you can put it into the 16ve ECU.

Its something that should not be true but after many races of both these cars, the outcome you have had seems to be the true conclusion.

I have heard this from 2 guys from AUS and 1 guy from Eng and now you have the same story.

It would seem with a 25 HP diffrence, even on a bad day this should not happen.

I am with Andreas on this.

I had an N1 version one at my house for a good two weeks trying to sort through all the bugs. I could not get it to put out anywhere near its desired HP rating.

I cleaned solendoids, flushed engine, checked consult numberous times, cleaned sensors etc. I think it might have something to do with their temp sensors. This N1 ecu i beleive is off a ZX series model (i could be wrong) and i think it has a self protection system where it will not activate high cam or full timing base if the enigne is not up to desired racing temperature.

Everyone has seen the bmi video with the n1 vs the type r. Its clear to see that n1 is not running a stock ecu. The way that car runs is a good example of what should be possible.

I really think the timing map is the main culprit.

Well i am new to the pulsar scence but i no for a fact i would not be able to add and ecu and fine tune myself
That lad is in greece and aroun 450€ will see it over, Modded and tested and sent back
Would it be worth the money?
As My timing is a little out but cant use that as an wxcuse for losing to a vzr
so i am not happy with the overall performace
What are my other options of ecu?
Is there any off the shelf one eg. Greddy emanage etc that could help?

The board you use for the SR16/20 ecu is the Type 3/4 board. He explained it on his website because that ecu is the mini ecu that nissan started to use. Works for the S14 SR20DE ecu too.
