VVl N1
Well lads...im In Ireland drive a 97 vzr n1 lucino
I tught the car felt nippy enough...But had a go agianst a Vzr with full exhaust system and thats it and i lost by a fair bit...Wasnt My driving as a few people had a go and still lost
Pissed off wasnt the word...

Few lads Had a look and said My timing on the dizzy is out a nice bit and should have a bit more in it

But I have it Booked for a dyno run to Find my prob shortly

Is there any one That can tune the ecu to safely allow lower activation points?
Or what can be done to tune these

It has a nismo cat back, decat and apexi panel filter

Thanks

Johnny

You know whats funny guy, is that I have heard from many people that the standard 175 Hp VZR is faster than the N1s.

Its something that should not be true but after many races of both these cars, the outcome you have had seems to be the true conclusion.

I have heard this from 2 guys from AUS and 1 guy from Eng and now you have the same story.

It would seem with a 25 HP diffrence, even on a bad day this should not happen.

Does the N1 have alot more bracing for the twisties or something? They probably weigh more because Nissan added some bracing or something

Same bracing as a vzr
Nismo Suspension as standard
But weight is saved on no eletrics

Not running the car on 100 Ron fuel will probably have more of an affect on the N1 than a normal VZR.

I remember when the Irish VZR owners had a dyno day last year...the N1 only made 185hp and a VZR with a full exhaust made 180hp.

find some cheap sr20det injectors AND RUN IT ON E85!

you should win if you do this and the dyno tunner is half competent. The amount of timing you can run from e85 is just stupid! friends have seen 20-30rwkw's extra on 200rwkw engines.

but you will need a programmable ecu chip, or some type of fuel comp, afc or the like and i would run sr20det injectors standard.

I am thinking of currently sending away my ecu
Lower activation point, 9250rpm limit, Map for 95ron
YouTube - Nissan Almera N16 SR16VE.N1 - 2nd ride
Same job as this

If you have someone that install the board for you out there just order the Nistune board and software. Then u can realtime tune it yourself if u know how to do that.
