Thread: need help

my friend has a sr20v in a b13 and he notice a rattling noise by the timing chain hes going crazy any info well be good we think its the chain guide or the chain tesanor would he blow it if he drives it thats his only car if it is the chain guide how would u fix that

I had a similar noise that I swore it was the timing chain but I came out to be the bolts on the power steering pump were loose, make sure yours its not that, mine did the rattle 3.5k RPMS and above.

It might be the Timing chain tensioner too.

thanks for the help we found the problem it was the alternator
