Do a little checking around on the forum on this subject

Do not mix up SR16VE pistons ( Blue Valve Cover ) and SR16VE N1 pistons ( Red Valve Cover ) ( Diffrent Parts )

i saw the dish after i posted lo i know its like educating pork man sorry bout that

so these with the almera 2.0 crank and rods will work with n cams and an SR16 ecu.. meaning i can get the engine in and running then save dor a calum real time for future messing??

ps is that $100 the price you can sell me an SR16VE ecu at as i was about to PM you to see if you have any for sale..

its not an N1 i already know that much lol.. im after a normal VZ-R ECU 8350RPM limit..

if that will work with the 20v pistons then i think i have a plan...

many thanks for your help sir

If the pistons are for a 2L VE and the crank and rods from the RR are the same as a 2L VE( posted above ). Of course the pistons will work in the motor. ( You Got A Thick skull )

I am not selling a SR16VE EVU, I was giving you the cost of a SR16VE ECU if you could find one. It makes no sense to buy a SR16VE ECU and Emanage it will cost $460 plus.

Again get a Calum ECU $110 + Core ECU $50 + Shipping to UK $50 = $210 you will be ahead of the ball game.

You already saved $250. I thought you said you were on a budget.

These engines are meant to use premium quality fuel.
They run better, they perform better!

You are replacing the crank to get power, why are thinking of using pistons with less compression in order to loose power? Don't be cheapy with the fuel.

Calum ecu is a DE ecu used on DE electrics. Can't be used on VE electrics.
Rpm limiter is 8000 beyond that you get an ecu with simply no rev limiter.

SR16/20VE ecus can be tuned in some places around the world (Australia, Greece, New Zealand). Safe rpm limiter point, vvl points alternation, removal of speed limiter, fuel/timing maps alternation etc.
The limiter of the SR16VE ecu is 8000rpm. Cluster indication might be different.

andreas i appologise if i have come accross as ignorant that was not my intention i didnt expect you to resomd to this thread if im honest but whilst you were i wanted to make sure i had things straight in my head as if you say somthing wil work i know it wil work.

i know the 20v pistons will work with the almera bottom end that wasnt what i wanted to know it was weather they would clear the N1 cams more to the point the high lobe part of the cams..

also i want to be able to get 200WHP without really messing with the electronics i wanted to just up the CC's and add the cams.. so i only needed to know if the standard ECU would be able to cope with that.. or if i would need some adjustment if i need some adjustment then of course the calumsoft is the better option over an SR16 with e-manage but if i can just get the SR16 and plug that in with it for now to get it running and still hit my power target then this is the cheaper option..

once again many appologies.. your input has still been greatly appretiated
