Well its not the best header but it does appear to be better than the ssac ones. I just posted it up in case someone might be looking for a four into one header. I thought this would be worth posting up to let others know about it.

That header is not better than the SSAC header. No way.

yeah the ssac header has way way bigger primaries which if anything is one of the more benificial things to have on our motors. i think an ssac primary with the secondary connection bored out as much as you can and a custom made 3" secondary would be pretty good for making power especially in high rpms

Hurricane do a 4-1 header just like that and a custom place here do a off the shelf copy both look very similar to the pic.!

That header has been out longer than the old forum. I don't remember why, but there was only a couple of people who ever tried them out.

Tried one on a stock Ve it made 115wkw which is ok, power went to almost 8K but cam switch over points were quite high. another stock ve with 4-2-1 made 118wkw this is one the same dyno i have made 132wkw with n1 cams and fujis for comparison sake.

the 4-1 pipes from the head flange is ganna be smaller than the 4-2-1.... in all the cases that i know of that is..... thats the tech design

The primary tubes are 1 5/8" with a 2" collector outlet.

Straight from s&s. I am asking them about making larger diameters for VE/built DE guys.

Hmmmm far to small to be any beneficial - i reckon the tubular JDM manifold might perform nearly as good. Sometimes the wrong combination can absolutely choke a motor.

The SSAC does have massive primaries, which would straight away give them a head start.

For the money its either SSAC or Freak headers - anything else inbetween isnt worth the money for the gain.
