I'm very interested in this but I would want it to have a flange for a Tial 38mm external wastegate did you guys ever get that to work? Its a bluebird setup with a garrett T25 and A/C I'd want the fully divorced Tial 2 bolt 38mm wastegate and only need a 2.5" exhaust pipe.

It's been awhile since I made one of these, but I found the parts and have started building another for a forum member This is the start of a GTiR bellmouth build that will transition to 3.0" @ the stock location...should be fun!

Dusty OEM fixture parts

Zero'd the manifold, turbine housing, and cast housing on a mock up motor

Started slicing up stainless tubing for the pie cut radii

And tonight, I slotted the turbine flange just in case

Stay tuned for more

Roughed out the pie cuts w/ the bandsaw last night. Next I'll grind all the parts, test fit them, and regrind them as necessary. Once I'm happy with the fitment, the parts will get a light polish, cleaning, and then they will be tacked together.

Found some time to take the roughed out parts and grind them to fit. Afterwards, they received a light polish and cleaning. Then the welder was fired up to tack it all together. Up next is the bellmouth portion for the wastegate flow

Quick update on this build. The main flow path tubing was lightly polished, final tack welded, and then finish welded.

Tacked up and ready to burn

Quick and dirty heat sink/purge setup

Welded

More progress pics...almost finished with this build

Mocking up the bellmouth portion with a template that i can transfer over to the tubing

This one has multiple bends on different axes, so I had to heat it up, tap it, and roll it over to match the radius of the pie cuts

After it was shaped, the parts were cut, ground, and coped via a belt sander for a good fit

All tacked up and finally coming together

Finished welding last night. All that's left is flange surfacing, a light porting, and some deburring.
