The ebay style has that bolt in type divider. I have one here and it your right, it doesn't seal that well at all.

When I make these, I weld them in a certain way in order to keep the flange surface flat. I basically weld on the tubes to the flange, let it cool, and surface the flange. Then, I weld on the divider using the high speed pulse feature on the TIG. This feature keeps heat out the part which helps keep the flange flat. Just to make sure it is still flat, I torque the part down onto the turbine housing and check for gaps.

What are you using to surface them, a mill? Just curious

An industrial grinder w/ 6 X 79 in. belt. For precision stuff, we outsource it to the machine shop down the street.

Started on the recirculated waste gate design today...went a little different route with the bends.

Please leave enough space to use actual tools to get the nuts off the studs, etc. Also, whats the advantage you are going for again?

Looking good man im very interested in one of these, its good to have a good fabricator that gets stuff done around on this forum.

Definitely, fitment and ease of installation are very high design priorities. When the next part is finished, I'll document the install process and throw a PDF on the site. This way you'll know all the tips, tricks, and tools required tools required before hand. The advantage of the pie cuts is that it allows the fabricator to build a part with what ever radius they want with out using mandrel bends. It comes in real handy when working with more exotic alloys if mandrel bends are not available or if you need something really tight. The advantage of a high flow j-pipe/02 housing is increased turbine efficiency which ultimately results in more hp per psi of boost.

Here's another quick update...full 3.0 in. off the turbine w/ AC. This will require our downpipe, which is coming soon, since it will not terminate at the stock location. This will also be a bellmouth style design instead of the divorced type.

Thats awesome, 3 inch is tough.. I gave up on this years ago, I'm so glad someone finally pulled it off. I figured you would have to use pie slices. Well done.
