Aem Ems v2 issues
Hey guys I have a sr20ve running on AEM V2 with original distributor with the aem cas 24-1 disc I’ve been trying to figure out what is causing for my car not to pass 5000rpms, up until then it runs perfect then it begins to misfire and spudder. I have tried multiple distributors and Aem discs. My tuner then suggested for me to purchase the mazworxs Hall effect sensor in order to get a proper ignition signal. Not sure if anyone else has ran into this issue? Help lol

You shouldn't need to go to that extreme just to get a good trigger signal. The AEM should let you log the trigger, and see if it's the problem. Really, there's no need to guess when you have ALL of the data at your disposal via the AEM.

That is why I find it odd why he is asking this I spoke to another Nissan guy and he said he has never had a vehicle with the aem so he is not familiar. So Ben what do you think that could be causing this issue???

It's tough to say without seeing the logs or looking at the tune but it could be a rev limit or fuel cut of some kind. It could be the trigger signal but that should be super easy to figure out by just logging the trigger signal while trying to go above 5,000 RPM. Is this a relatively new behavior? Is this the first time you're trying to get the engine running properly with the AEM? I mean there are a lot of variables here...

Log, log, and log some more. Log everything you can think of and chase the leads. You need more info.
