The sequencer I designed for this controller is also the basis of the Knock monitoring system I started working on. Using the same window method I can calculate the ignition event and listen to each cylinder individually. I havn't worked out the audio portion yet but it should work the same. Could be as easy as buying one of those hand held sound amplifiers and hack it up to add in the selection circuit. Some dip switches, a pic controller and a few transistors should do the trick.

Xterra is back on the road and the G is down for the count. Been running with like 1/2 the HP for a month now. I think it's the TPS. Fucking 32bit ECU's. Wish I could throw the NEMU on their and call it a day. However, the test boards for the PIC based controller will be in soon and I can pick up where I left off long ago. I do plan to release the code for it once its been tested. Dala has stepped up and will be receiving a board in the next few weeks though and he will be a big help in all of this.

Wife and son are out of town this weekend. Get shit faced or build COP controllers? Probably last free weekend for 2 more years since my second kid is due in march. We will see what happeneds.

Good work man. Still waiting patiently to buy a completed board from you . The knock detection sounds promising as well. Although I've always wanted there to be an affordable cylinder pressure system using transducers like this psi plug: Optrand Products. Would make spark timing and knock detection a snap!

And you can definitely drink and solder.

Dala's board is built and tested. Will be shipped on Monday. Took longer than expected to get it built due to some revsions but it works as intended. @Lynx let me know if you want one I can have another built by the end of the day.
