Just a tip for anyone that requires more ADCs, you can move some signals to standard unused ECU pins.
I have run out of free ADCs, this is my setup;

-AI1 Wideband
-AI2 3BarMAP
-AI3 IAT-sensor
-AI4 FlexSignal

I plan to move the IAT sensor to the ECU EGR temp pin, this frees up one pin on the breakout board
If I need another pin, I can move the 3BarMap to the ECU MAF pin, this frees up another pin on the breakout board

Next order of business for me is to get EGT sensors converted to 0-5V signal, and hooked up to the breakout board

Dave,

On the other side of that FT232R on the DLP-IO8-G is a native serial interface (refer to simplified schematic on datasheet). That could possibly be connected directly to the NEMU via the same serial port currently being used for the Bluetooth interface (not sure if the NEMU can muster the 115200 baud rate). This would allow that data to be directly accesed by the NEMU, available for onboard logging and no PC is required.

or your own board with the same PIC or other ADC.

I only suggested the DLP board because its there and reasonable, also because it can interface directly with the DS18B20 temperature sensors, this makes it dead easy and dead cheap to add (really accurate) temperature sensing. That could possibly replace the GM IAT sensor, 8 sensors and the DLP board all for slightly more than the price of one GM temp sensor.

Using the MTS log chain starts at about $100 for 4 inputs depending on the box u add on. The MTS route may be easiest to implement, doesn't cost you out of pocket to make develop or stock boards and still allows persons that need it to have and use. But currently possibly only ratiometric 0.5V to 4.5V linear sensors (usually pressure) can be easily added. Temperature (using NTC type thermistors) on the regular 0-5V adc requires resistor and look up tables.

Dala at least could use the TC-4 and wire in his EGT sensors directly (again relatively reasonable for a good quality 4 channel egt system that can be logged and viewed reealtime).

cost wise a person would spend less on the MTS route and quality sensors than 4 quality gauges that cannot be logged and/or may not have warning features.

Aside: Can the serial port currently being used for the Bluetooth interface be used to interface directly with the serial data of AEM/Innovate etc, to allow permanent install of wideband while freeing up one input of Breakout Box, allow onboard logging of AFR and utilize the most accurate output of the wideband?

Currently, it isn't setup to handle something like this.

I could add support for additional logging of these boards via serial through the software, but it wouldn't be connected or tied into the NEMU in anyway.

I do like the idea of having more inputs available, specifically for the reasons that Lync gave above, namely monitoring/logging of additional temp and pressure sensors. I'm looking at a minimum of three aftermarket gauges at present for the build I'm planning (water temp, oil temp, oil pressure), and would like to go beyond those if more can be done effectively.

When things slow down for me a bit, I will look into this.

But right now I am swamped with my usual summer tuning workload.
