if anyone wants to take a look at my log please lmk your email address its too large of a file to load onto the site.

i have been working with john trying to get this dialed in, its very aggravating and irritating that this is happening..

so far we are on 3 revisions changes that he made ect to try and get it to idle and run better.

i have been having a issue with when i start my car the car cranks catches and then dies on cold start, i then have to restart the car and hold throttle to keep it from dying, after about half a minute its fine, i would just like to start the car up with no issues and go.

also my idle is set at 900rpm, i was thinking stock idle is 750rpm, the car has hks camshafts but it doesnt lope at 900rpm, it does when i change it to 750rpm but then when the idle bounces, it was to completely die.

check out the tune give me suggestions, there has been issues that have been corrected, but its still not right.

mind you i paid $2,200.00 it wasnt all tuning but i paid 500.00 for the tune i know my car is finicky but damn this is stupid

:???::???::???::???::???:

Mail it to me: dalathegreat gmail.com

The mechanical things to check:
-Is your waxstat present?
-How is your TPS ground?

Stuff that can affect idle in the TCD:
TPS closed ignition timing, the timing is locked to this value when your throttle is closed. In your primary ignition map, do you have the same values in the idle cells as in this table at idle rpm? (if tps is bad, it jumps between these two)

Idle RPM control by ignition timing. Try disabling this feature to see if it removes the bouncing idle

very big thankyou to dala,

i had a high return idle with my old de, which cleaning the t/b and iacv didnt fix.
i had this lopey sometimes high idle with my ve.

took his recommendation to reground the tps to my intake, and 95% of my trouble is now gone. returns to idle great.

Did you splice in another ground wire to the TPS ground or did you cut the TPS ground it and run it to the intake?

i sat with dave blundell the guy who actually made nismotronics, and we tried to figure this out, we did a little street tuning not at fast speeds but at normal driving speeds, he was logging everything and said the tps looked to not be working. it was jumping and not responding with resolution it wasnt showing the right voltages.

Perfect sss4me

You other guys that are contemplating to reground your TPS, it is very easy to measure your existing harness ground with a multimeter. Highest pin (black) should be as close to 0 Ohm as possible. If you get some funky reading over 1 Ohm, it's bad.

When you decidce to reground it, it doesn't matter much to where you ground it, any ground should be just fine. Seems like everything but the TPS harness ground is good on our cars The intake manifold is close, so it's a great candidate.
