I want to add a little information for anyone interested.

This is a sequential ignition system and functions just like OEM

This can be used in a CNP, or COP configuration. Capacitive discharge system are currently untested but I feel good saying it will work.

This is currently being designed as an in engine bay installation. However, I am looking into building this directly into the ECU. This would mean an extra wiring harness would have to be fed through the firewall, but it would make for a much cleaner build.

The anticipated retail version will have a footprint roughly that of a silver dollar. Or less than 4 square inches. Fairly small.

Price; I cannot set a price range yet as this is still very early. However it will cost a lot less than any other available option.

Edit: Almost forgot. This can also be used on a few other models including those that use the ga16de, ka24de fwd & rwd.

Appreciate you doing the leg work on this. Exactly the solution I was hoping to come along for our cars. Definitely set the price point to reward your time and ingenuity

@P10 Goodness, its been fun and I can say I have learned a lot about the ignition systems through this and that information is invaluable. I think the pricing will be very reasonable, even for this crowd.

I meant to add to that last video I posted that was a cold start. Which i'm sure a number of us are aware can be a critical issue regarding these motors and the wear and tear they see. It was around 35 degrees that day. Well I think the video speaks for itself on how well it works.

Slight change of plans. Originally I was going to do this entire build and install on my moms 99 g20 while she drove my 00 G20. But seeing as the LS2 coil dwell is near exact to OEM, I am leaving the LS2 coils on the 99 and installing a permanent conversion board this weekend. And in a week or two I will be installing the 20v vc and 1zz coils in my 00 G20 with another conversion board. This really covers a lot of area for me. She drives 80+ miles a day so if all goes well over the next few month, she will easily rack up a couple thousand miles on the LS2 setup.

I've come across a coil pack that can be used in the DE valve cover. Of course like all the things we do to our cars, some modifications need to be done. However, this will eliminate the need for a p12 valve covers. And these can cost around $250 or so. Stay tuned! Have a lot of updates in the coming weeks!

Ugh. Fried my ECU. So looking into ecu options now. In the mean time, i'm gonna start working on a new project. A knock sensor monitoring system of sorts that I think this community will like. So while this project is on a short hiatus, i'll be making updates in another thread.
