Thread: VE+T management.

Im planning to carry out a ve+t build or maybe a det w11 with a ve headswap. But im not sure which engine management to go with or which is capable . Im pretty much a noob wrt engine managements.

any suggestions?

Nismotronic is also by all reports wicked and affordable.
That's what I'd use.

I am doing JWT with my setup. I will see how I feel about it after I finish my build. If I don't like it I will probably try out the Nismotronic route.

If you are tuning, any one will work. @klassickrican has an AEM for sale for cheap.

But, if you aren't tuning yourself, find who will be tuning and talk to them. (check on local referrals, friends, car community for a reputable person and actually go talk to that person, or PM/call them) Once you found the person you trust with your car, find out what they suggest and use that.

Just get tired of seeing posts for people who buy engine mgmt systems and then want to know where to get it tuned. That should be step 1, not purchasing. Then people get stuck with using a bad local tuner and complain about that and blah blah blah...

Most tuners wont be familiar with NEMU, but if you are close enough to bring it to John for the tune, then that should be an option.

If not, most tuners should be familiar with things like Motec/AEM/Haltech maybe even Megasquirt.

Back when I decided on my AEM, I knew no one around would know calum or nistune... so AEM was the best option.

As simple as your setup is going to be get a jk tuning chipped ecu $125 and send them your current ecu while you are doing the swap their turnaround time is lightning fast.

Nismotronics the way to go these days for the simpler setups, even some of the more advanced ones would be fine too tho..

i think if a tuner can tune aem or something they can tune with nismotronic, if not, maybe they arent really a tuner lol
