Get it running in the stock configuration and go from there.
Stock 54C MAF

MAF at the turbo inlet
Stock RE-Circulation valve recirculating
Etc...
i know you are limited on space but if ran good in the N14 Clip, there is no reason it should not run good in the Miata

The Blow Off Valve is Before the MAF so its not Being Metered i have the same set up in my 200sx and It works like a charm
about the MAF to the Inlet well thats About as imposible as it Gets unless i Knock out the firewall unfortunately it will not fit
once again i have it set up like this in my 200sx and its never given me an issue
about the MAF not being stock, I have them both as well as the ECU's original and Upgrade
Ive ran ALL original/stock (ECU & MAF) and its still goes Lean as soon as i hits boost
Ive ran it with the Z32 with the Nismotronic ECU and same as soon as i Hit Boost it goes Lean
oh yeah forgot to mention Ive also tried changing injectors I tried stock with stock and with upgrade
then tried some 65 Denso with a tune of course and nothing changes problem is identical no change at all
