Thread: Interested in tuning

Hello my name is Coty Blair I am very interested on learning how to make my own tunes or alter others.
So i am asking who recommends what.
From What software to the style burner that works the best
Can anyone tell me good places to learn that stuff
I have a good automotive background and am great with electrical
so i wanna give this a shot thank you for helping

Start here,i had a few friends go through with this and they learned alot.

That looks pretty legit to bad im no where near half those places

As far as software and hardware, I would suggest that you spend some time getting familiar with what's available from NismoTronic NismoTronic. With this real time tuning system, you don't have to burn chips, just upload your modified file to the ECU. NismoTronic is in Pennsylvania, I see that you are in Maryland -- sounds like a little road trip might be in order.

As far as getting general ideas on how to tune, NisTune has a nice little document that goes through developing a tune for a Nissan turbo. This PDF document can be downloaded here:NIStune - Realtime ECU Tuning. It's the one called "Nissan ECU Tuning Basics."

Go staright to a NismoTronic ecu and your life will be a ton easier with tuning. There is a lot to learn still though, so I suggest you get TunerPro and start looking at random tunes on the web to see how they work.
