Yea you are both right. I have a friend (4x4le on other forums) who is a Nistune master and he is suppose to be tuning the car next spring. I will probably just run around on this at low boost and sell it when I make the change to Nistune. I should be able to get my $300 back for all of it..

Your all set then just buy the Nistune board from him and have him tune it. You won't need to software unless you want to tune it yourself too.

Have a look at the NismotronicRT NEMU Tuning Package before you make your decision. It has many more features, tunable parameters, and logged data.

Wow.... Thank you. Why do you even need a standalone if Nismotronic does all that...

I will definitely be looking into this. If my tuner can use Nistune, surely he can use this.

Great question!

My only question is does that price include the software used for tuning? My tuner will not have it and I live in an area where Nissan tuning is nonexistent unfortunately so I will need everything.

I vote NIsmotronic

For the price (and adjustability) it simply CANNOT be beat!!
I was a tuning noob when I delved into Nismotronic, and its been the easiest thing EVER to get up and running. Just make sure you have a proper wideband (I have the MTX-L) ad you should be all set!

Absolutely! It includes NismotronicRT tuning software, Moates NEMU real time daughter board (with 4 analog inputs and on-board data logging), TunerCode custom ECU firmware, and, if you prefer, NEMU installation.

Cheers,
Dave

Nismotronic is better but his friend 4x4le is a nistune dealer/tuner. It would be cheaper for him to run the nistune ecu.

Yes he is BlueRB, but I wouldn't think he would have a problem learning the Nismotronic. I could be wrong though..

No sense in buying something I can't have tuned. I have no problem going out of state, but it takes a lot of research to feel comfortable with someone tuning my car.

Launch control is the main thing I would like to have, but is it really as bad for your parts as I have heard? I can spare a couple tenths of a second and just leave off the rev limiter if it will help my parts last longer.
