Hey guys, I decided to post here for help with my setup. I own a 240sx but most of the forums I belong to are full of drifters and it just isn't my thing. I'm a weekend warrior at the local drag strip and you fwd folks seems to enjoy it more than most of the 240sx owners.
I'll give a little info on my setup. I have a redtop sr, forged and balanced rotating assembly, and a factory untouched head. I will install cams soon and I'm debating on JWT C series or a set of HKS 272's.
I have a Hybrid Dynamics top mount manifold and a Precision billet 5858 t3 turbo. I got a ridiculous deal on MSD 96lb injectors, a Ford Lightning MAF, and a JWT ecu tuned for the setup.
I'm really just trying to get some information on turning the boost up. I've had a talk with Ben at JWT and Codyace over on Zilvia and they think the setup is good for 475whp on pump gas. I'm still a little scared on just "listening" for knock.
Anyone working with a similar setup? Any tips on anything or what to look out for? I just want to feel more comfortable before cranking the wick on my new investment. Thanks in advance.
