Good move, I have had late nights of tuning and not hitting that button

Not too happy when i shut the car off after multiple pulls.

Ouch! No doubt

I dont get what you mean by this.

As in there is nothing stopping Nistune from making the software not work with any other chipset but Nistune's. I haven't used Nistune thus don't know how it handles it, just venturing educated guesses.

Not exactly true, TunerCode has more defined tables to tune. Heck I don't use or care about tuning above 8000 rpm, but other features is what makes it worth it. Now you can't get TunerCode by itself anymore, so NEMU is the only way to go.

yeah theres a bunch of fancy stuff for the turbo guys with nemu, not to mention bein able to activate cams and such..

back when i got my first Nistune package i paid the same amount that the Nismotronic package is currently selling for and last i looked the nistune package is selling for $90 more right now!

now, some folks dont need to buy the software or consult cable so you could argue that nistune would be cheaper, but thats kinda silly, if you got an r/t ecu you might as well have the software an cable..

but for super basic setups that dont go through alot of changes or require fancy stuff like what nemu has, then the basic boards still work ok.

What tables?

Excuse my lack of Nemu knowledge (as I have been caught up in the NA world) but what other tables are defined to tune?

Outside of your Fuel and Timing tables, what definitions have been brought forth in Nemu that are not defined in Nistune?

Is there more resolution? Finer tuning increments? Just trying to figure out what added features will be used, as 90% of users are NOT tuning on their own.

With the exception of Aux switching and the upgraded firmware offered by Tunercode itself I am kind of lost.

I have found the best combo (for me) to be the TunerCode firmware patched to a standard 32k Bin utilizing Nistune as the Tuning GUI. Gives me everything I need including tuning past 8000rpm & launch control without using NEMU.

Everything that can be tunable is defined. No more Unknown Tables, no more question marks in tunable tables. Granted Nistune does a better job at defining the limited amount of tables then Calum's XDF did, but still there is a lot of stuff missing. Tunable outputs (re ecu VVL switching) and inputs are a big one too though.

Ss it stands right this second, Nemu and TunerCode use the same firmware version, V5. TunerCode V5 is no longer sold for Calum ECU's. So if you want TunerCode firmware you need to buy a Nemu. But that's not a bad thing either, Calum's chips are no longer made and are out of date anyway.

TunerCode V6 is going to bring a lot of new features to the table, including MAP support. That along with other awesome features (follow NismoTronic FB group to see previews), will make it the best, hands down oem solution.

Well, the k value formula for the injectors is easy, but I don't know the formula for the MAF. I don't have Nistune so I can't just let it do the calculation for me.

Confusing, thought you said you are using the Nistune software.

Another thing to consider here is, TunerCode was built to work with TunerPro only, not Nistune, thus by default Nistune does not support TunerCode. Now I understand you got it working but a regular user wont do that. While TunerPro is an excellent tuning software, it lacks in good logging and reporting. It also lacks that SR20 specific support. This is where Nemu/NismoTronic shine.

The only reason I switched form TunerPro to NismoTronic is because of AEM UEGO wideband support and better logging/reporting. Shortly after I switched to NEMU for a better chipset and new features (inputs, onboard logging, etc.) plus TunerCode V6

Here's the full documentation if you want to run the Calum R/T with Nistune software:

Awesome! I am assuming this requires the Calum drivers to be installed?
