Thread: NDS v1.4 freeware error

What can I do to remedy this?

A few things that happened to me that in the end were either one of these fixes:

1. You chose the COM Port wrong, then this happens. use regedit and search for Nissan Datascan and change the COM port to the one used by the serial to USB Adapter.

2. uninstall NDS completely and clean all traces of it, then reinstall and dont get the port wrong again.

3. if on win7, either use Virtual XP or right-click start NDS with "run as an administrator"

Done suggestion #1 and #2. I will try #3 tomorrow evening. I gotta drive the car to work tomorrow. Thank you, sir.

Update, issue is resolved and communication now occurs instantly.

The problem was a fuse was blown in the car. I guess the ECU does not let the consult port communicate externally with a blown fuse in the system. I replaced the fuse and it worked first chance.
