tuning of transmission control module (TCM)
is it possible to tune TCM of nissan x-trail SR20VET transmission control module?
the trouble is - when you accelerate with completely pushed pedal, throtle opens to 100% for some seconds, and then closing to 50-60%.
I suppose that is TCM signal to ECU - to not kill trany

There are tunable automatic transmission modules out there. One of them might be in order. Also, it might make sense to get the thing upgraded by a company like Level 10.

We did decide this is a traditional automatic transmission, and not a CVT, correct?

as I heard Level 10 can tune only mechanical aprt of trany like valve block, but I'm talking about Electronic trany control.
I have traditional automatic transmission

Yah, I know they're only going to do mechanical upgrades, but you could quickly burn out the clutches and cause other damage if you start applying aggressive tuning to the transmission is all I'm saying.

I don't think there is any way to tune the OEM control module, but I haven't looked very hard. I'd look into a suitable tunable replacement.

You know I was thinking, what about replacing the electronic throttle with a mechanical linkage?

Also, there are throttle-by-wire tuning boxes available that might be cheaper, and a better option.

As for possible options, try Google? I have no clue.

I've seen that kind of throttle-by-wire tuning boxes before, I think it just pedal boost and I'm not sure that it will open throttle if ECU/ TCU will send somnad to close throttle

I'm affraid if I realise replacing the electronic throttle with a mechanical linkage - than my trany will be in alarm mode
