Cool.

Why do some sellers list the same LC1 units as UEGO and some state that their units are "better" than UEGO type widebands. Ie. what's the difference and is there up/down sides to UEGO type widebands?

Is the LC_1 UEGO?

I am actually surprised to read this coming from you.. I am not too sure why you wouldn't want to have a display if you have one available to you. It definitely gives some people peace of mind, including myself.

You can spot mechanical errors or fueling related problems MUCH quicker than pulling out your trusty laptop just to monitor your afrs.

JKTUNING it's basically my abhorrence for extra gauges inside the car. If I had an AIM dash or similar so the data could all be there in one compact area that didn't look out of place I would welcome it.

Then it sounds like when the new realtime board supports the TunerView it will be something that will interest you!

I hate gauges inside the car as well, on my last few setups I used the TunerView to display everything (wideband, boost, ect, vss) but that was used in a Honda.. but the capability to use it in a Nissan is coming soon!

Hey guys,

My innovate MTX-L arrived this week. Going to install it this week-end and then start tuning the car.

However, does the std LM Programmer or LogWorks software provide data logging functionality that will enable me to tune the car? Or can the tuning only be done "live".

i.e. Can I take the car for a drive, have a look at the Wideband data, adjust the EMS and then take another drive and iterate, or does it not provide this data logging information?

The way I see it the data I require is:

a) RPM
b) Load (via map or tps value)
c) AFR

I haven't installed the gauge yet so I cannot view the software layout or data at this stage it seems.

I've never worked with LM Programmer or LogWorks but I know the Innovate wideband controllers all feature logging capability. That means you can log the A/F data, and look back at it later. Logging the A/F data while also getting rpm and load in the logs will most likely require you to run rpm and load signals to the Innovate controller. This always seemed stupid to me, especially if you have a stand-alone ECU.

Instead, make sure the wideband controller outputs a signal to the ECU. Then use the ECU logging feature to log rpm, load and A/F data (along with whatever else your heart desires) during a drive. Then sit back and look at the logs and make adjustments to the tune based on what the logs show. Then go out for a drive and log some more and see if things improved. Rinse, repeat.

No, you don't have to tune "live". Not unless you have some wacky stand-alone with weird limitations. Actually some weird ones don't even let you tune "live" or in "real time".

The LM2 works pretty well as a tuning wideband, but it isn't something I would permanently install in a car. It is kinda big for that.

Hey guys, so tomorrow is D day for the mtxl insallation. So how do I wire up a RPM signal for this gauge to log data?

My standalone doesn't have an input for the AFR as far as I'm aware. So i want to basically run the two systems similtaneously, but independantly.
