Rev Limiters?
K so our stock rev limiter is actually a fuel cut as everyone knows. That fuel cut is great for an N/A car to use as a rev limiter. Not so much for a car running 12.0:1 Air fuels at 7500rpm and then the car dropping down to off the charts lean.

My problem im having is that as you know with our cars turbo your gonna bang the rev limiter in first and second on street tires. Are you guys using after market ignition limiters or just the stock? or what?

I know the correct thing to do would be to just stay off the rev limiter and I try. I even got JWT to make the rev limiter at 8k. But I still have found myself hitting it a few times. How are you working that out?

Get TunerCode, lets you change the rev-limiter.

One I looked at and bought (never got to use) was the MSD 6al-2. I never liked the idea of hitting fuel cut back when my car was boosted. I don't like it even N/A when my car is revving to 9K. I think some guys use the Bee-R unit as well. I might try out the MSD one of these days. I like to no lift shift at the track and need a limiter I can trust.

Is the MSD 6al-2 easy to hook up? and do you need to buy anything else? Also do you HAVE to use the box as your ignition or can it just be a rev limiter?

The digital 6 box is easy to wire and you can set the rev limiter to whatever you want and its an ignition cut not fuel. Also has a two step launch control feature. Cheap to find used too. So you would need to have your factory rev limiter removed and then install the digital 6 to have a limiter.

Right. But Ashton, do I HAVE to use it as the ignition system? All I want it for is the rev limiter. I like the stock Ignition system just fine. Also why would I have to remove my old rev limiter? Its set at 8k for fuel cut. I want my rev to cut out at about 7500 anyway so I wouldnt have to really.

Exactly my suggestion as well.

TunerCode has the option of doing either Spark or Fuel cut, so you can configure it however you would like.

I have used and tested it on a bunch of cars and it works perfectly.

Plus you get all of the other features and documentation that comes with it!
