Thread: Question on my jwt ecu

whats going onn guys i had a quick question. The ecu i got has a ve+t program does it matter if i am going De+t or is it ok as long as i use the same maf and injectors?

Was the program for a 10.3:1 VE+T? If it was for 10.3:1 then it should be safe. DE+T is 9.5:1 compression ratio.

Now since I don't know what the map looks like, it's only a guesstimate. Call them up and ask them to know for sure.

The car will probably run but may not be correctly tuned. I'd call and discuss with JWT. They will retune your ECU for $100 to fit your engine the best they can. Even then, you should check AFR with a wide band.

probably because no one wants to try to educate someone who is asking a question like this. Will it run? probably. Will it run properly? probably not. Stop trying to cut corners and just get it reflashed, or better yet, get a real tunable ECU.

I'm not being a dick, I'm explaining why you had 14 views and no help. ECUs need to be tuned specifically for your setup. Injectors, MAF, compression ratio, displacement, ect, ect. It would probably run. Sorry for coming off as rude, there seem to be tons of threads with people trying to run some silly ECU that is not tuned for their setup.

It's just poor schmucks overpaid for an untunable ECU then don't want to overpay again.

i was just asking b/c i have the injectors and maf just not the ve thats it if i have to get it retune thats all i need it to know
