Thread: Ecu problem

I changed my chips on my ecu and turned car on ,car idles @ 2k and when i give it gas it chokes and also have chk engine light. Do i have to let car just idle for a while so it can reprogram it self to new chips? I also put the old chips back and did the same thing. Thanks for the input in advance.....

did you burn the program into the chips or did you have some program already. and when you put your old ones in did you install them with the notched part of the chip witht he notched part of the socket?

Check the direction of the chips, and check the file is burnt properly.

I got to chk thanxs dont remember.. I had someone burn them for me , n fans kick on.

Went out chk chip looks fine, i even flip them same thing wtf. As soon as i turn key fan comes on...

If you put them backwards and start the car they get burned....
I am still waiting on some chips that i ordered but If you need a set of chips with a new bin let me know...
