Swaping my stock ECU in 1995 200SX SE-R to a W10 ECU (95N11)
Hi there, I recently picked up a SR20DET W10 ECU (95N11), and I am planning to swap it in my B14 1995 200SX SE-R.

I already have the W10 engine installed in my car for quite sometime now (for about 5 yrs), and has used the original stock 200SX SE-R ECU (OBDII) since then. It worked okay except for the bad fuel consumption.

I assume that the W10 ECU should be OBDI? I am aware of the different options that I have (step down adaptor, or change the ECU harness). I just want to learn more about the W10 ECU pinouts to make sure before making my decision. Unfortunately I am without luck finding any precise info on the W10 pinouts or FSM for Avenir...

Anyone could help me out is greatly appreciated!!!

W10 ecu has same pin outs as P10/B13.

W10/11 are OBD1 in NZ and JDM.

You will need a w10 maf, although a GTIR will be similar enough.

Hi Evlnxr,

Where did you find the info? I had hard time finding them online...
What year of P10 would that be?
Would you happen to have the service manual for Avenir?

Many thanx for your help in advance

Ive used w10 and w11 ecu's in 1991ish p10's a few times no problem. The w11 has a boost solenoid which wont work with a p10 loom.

Dont think ive seen a Avenir FSM anywhere, but i guarantee it works.

Hi Evlnxr,

Greatly appreciate your sharing!

I've just dowloaded the FSM for P10, and will compare the ECU pinouts with the B13 diagram.

Will come back to you for more info, thanx in advance!

Cheers

I have just reviewed the 3 different ECU pinout sources that I have on hand:
(i) RNN14 & B13 Pinout diagram (apology for can't recall whom made this from the forum)
(ii) FSM of 1991-1993 Primera (G20) - with SR20DE
(iii) FSM of Model B13 and N14 series - with both SR20DE & SR20DET

I found that there are a few differences in the pinouts, but mostly similar. No. (i) would be most complete with least un-used pins (with a few ground pins and diagnostic connector). No.(ii) would be very similar compare to no.(i) but was different in a lot of the un-used pins are present as ground and diagnostic connectors. Whereas no. (iii) has most un-used pins compare to no. (i) & (ii).

Might have to search for more info to get a better overview and try to cover as much details in the pins as possible.

BTW, anyone have OBD2 -> OBD1 stepdown harness diagrams for SR20 (DE/DET)? These could help a lot in obtaining more info for comparisons. Many thanks in advance!

Many thanks to Cliff for the diagram of OBDI -> OBDII stepdown harness. This provided me with more info for further comparision.

I do have a OBDI ECU harness, but are missing some of the pins from the converting table (was told the harness was from a 1992 Primera 931)

I think it would be easier for me to make the stepdown adaptor rather than using the ECU harness and making modifications. Hope this will be enough for my W10 ECU swap.

Anyone who has used the conversion table for a W10 ECU, please kindly share your experience, much appreciated!
