Spark energy help
Hoping Ben, ashton and Dan can chime in...

Car and related parts are old. And i doubt that new plugs, wires, coil will be nothing more than a bandaid. During recent tuning at 17psi, my ignition was so weak that the tuning shop had to gap my plugs to .022 to keep it from breaking up under load.

So much for stock ignitions being good to 4-500hp...
Suggestions?

Remind us what kind of plugs you're using, what power you're making, and what ignition timing you have at full boost?

Also how old is the coil, power transistor, distributor cap, distributor rotor, spark plugs wires and spark plugs?

How confident are you with the connection you are getting at the battery terminals and engine/ECU grounds?

Bosch plugs - new( installed while on dyno)
17psi = 335whp (that's with the plugs gapped that small)
Unsure of ignition timing
Coil and ignitior are original
Wires, cap, rotor are around 1.5 years old with low usage

Do b15's have external coils that would be an upgrade for a b13?

instead of getting complex now with cop. my best bet would probably be a single channel cdi box.
