i wouldn't mind if it had an "OE" look to it.. or if I can hide it in my glove box and only look at it while tuning.. what does it cost to get the wideband o2 sensors and gauges for it?

some weekend eh? what about THIS weekend? like Sunday?

Yes, JWT ECU are said to be a little rich for obvious reasons.But they don't sell them so rich that you smell gas.That rediculous...no way they have sold so many ECUs for 500 bucks each all these years if that was the case.

-First thing you should do is get the numbers from inside the ECU and call JWT and see if you have the tune you think you have.
-If it is indeed a POP program tuned for S3 cams,you should not be so rich that you smell fumes.I think you have a different problem if thats the case.
The reason I say this is because I have run a JWT ECU with the same tune on a DE with stock cams, CAI,header and catback.Before It was installed,I called and talked to a tech at JWT to see what their opinion was on running this ECU on the car until the cams are installed(if ever,lol) .I was told that it will not be too rich and the difference from a standard POP NA program for stock cams and the program for cams is more timing adjustments than fuel adjustments. dont have a wideband,but I have driven 4 tanks of gas so far,and there is definately a difference from stock.No difference in gas mileage,in fact I gained about 1 mpg since the install.NO fumes,NO black smoke or black stains on the back of the car.
-Check fuel tank vent lines,and/or the oring around the fuelpump under the back seat.They will cause the fume smell just as easily.

Oh...if you do give up on this...hope you dont....then I will take those S3 cams off our hands

well, i bought a random JWT tune, and sent it off to JWT to be reflashed for S3 cams.. so only if they messed it up would it be wrong.

I am sure they know what they are doing.That just more reason to look somewhere else for the source of the fumes before you blame the ECU.
The spark plugs will tell all.

My JWT ECU, programmed for my turbo set-up, MAF, blah blah all verified through 3 weeks worth of emails, phone calls and me constantly hounding them was running pig ass rich.
My wideband said 9.9 - 10.2. I fiddled with a "band aid" and increased the boost from 9lbs to 14lbs. Now It runs solid mid 11's

And to the OP, you do know you have one of the best tuners in the country right here in town right?

i guess my spark plugs could have fouled out when I had an exhaust leak between my header and downpipe.. and the motor could be starved for air because the ECU is programed for a CAI and I have a drop-in K&N with the stock box cut out.. I should clean my maf, install my AEM CAI and then replace my o2 sensor and spark plugs.. maybe it'll run better after that..

for a JWT to run right all your sensors must give an exact reading, since the ECU relies a lot on sensors, if they are giving a wrong reading then the AFRs will get fcked up...
