I was on the lean side with my setup on a jwt ecu. I had to bump the fp to rich it up some.

Yup.
This has been known for a long time - JWT ecu's always run rich to protect your engine.

There must be exceptions to every rule.

This rich smell, what does it smell like? Can you smell it in the car? I have been getting a burning smell in the car for years and could not trace where it was coming from and I brought up a couple of topics on it and no one knew what it could be. I was running a JWt ecu as well.

It smells like a motor running rich, I smell it when I I've my windows down and put it in reverse and drive into my exhaust fumes...

The air/fuel ratio is my problem.. It smells like unspent fuel in the air...

Can you smell it when your driving normally with all the windows up?

Say it isn't so!

Since I dont care about selling any tunes anymore tell me your setup and I might have a decent bin for it. This is granted you have a daughterboard and burner of some sort to get it on the ecu.

Right... I'm just trying to figure out how to correct it...

Nismo87SE and Viprdude, thanks for the detailed responses, yeah I have a lot of learning yet to go... just when you think you've read up on everything something else has to be tweaked to compensate for another mod.

I'm seriously growing tired of one mod leading to another... and all of the reading that goes with it..

The reading wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to skim through post after post of misinformation to get to the correct information, and then still how do I know what's right?

I'm getting back in the line of thinking of "it's just a Sentra" ... I had no idea I'd have to go through this to get an n/a modded for a few extra ponies.. looks like I'm going to be selling me spare RR motor and B15 trans (LSD)

start parting out my mods... or just sell it as a whole... :-(

I already bust my brain enough at work, this is not fun anymore...

Sounds like me, I got tired of it all and got a huge Urban Assault Vehicle with all the good GM bits.
