I found it easier to convert the OBDI harness. I swapped the sensor plugs that were different, the Distributor plugs, MAF plug, and body side plugs.

It is simpler to make a stepdown.

A forum member makes them for $160 I think.

I'm looking at it and it's starting to seem to be easier to just make a stepdown. The OBDI harness that I have is a bit old and "tired". Also the P11 has a lot of plugs on a engine harness which houses injectors, knock sensor, alty, etc. So if I use an OBD1 ecu harness I'll have to splice those two together.

Seems like a step down is the cleanest way to go though.

They don't make the 00+ P11 conversions as far as I know.

If you have no emissions then OBDI by far. Get a Calum ECU and get TunerCode and your set with a ECU that's similar to a standalone.

Step down, chopping up a harness without the option to go back is silly. What if you move to a state with emissions?

Bingo, exactly the reason why I'll be making a step down (if I can't buy one).
