So as I was driving home today with the beast, I noticed that my coolant temps never seemed to get to the point that the fans needed to be turned on.
Now, with that being said, the thermostat is still stock. The fans with the OBDI RT were set to come on at a lower temperature (by 179* IIRC), and the car would actually get hotter than it does now.
What I'm thinking, is that if you all decide to lower the setpoint in the ECU for the fans to turn on, you should ALSO buy a lower temperature thermostat.
For instance, I think the Nismo thermostat opens at 154 degrees. Therefore you should also lower the fan turn on temps accordingly. The stock thermostat opens at 168*, so that's a difference of 14*. The fans should then turn on at 198* vs. 212*.
Just a thought.
