need help badly!!
ok i bought an aem ems 30-1600 from a forum member who said he used this to dyno tune, but he had 1200cc injectors, i am goin to be doing a bbdet into an 04 sentra (reason why i wanted to go standalone), ok so i'm going to be running it stock for now just to get it running at least and i don't know much about standalones, the aem tuner i found lives in miami, so i just want to know is there any way to wire up this standalone and get it to run my stock set up so i can get the car down to him to get properly tuned, also i don't have the cd that' supposed to come with it. If i can't this thing going im probably going to end up selling this thing, all help is appreciated

The CD is useless. All the software, manuals and base calibrations are online on the AEM forum.

You also will want to decide if you're going to use the MAF sensor, or upgrade tot he MAP + IAT sensor. (I highly recommend the upgrade and assume you will be doing it.)

As for getting the car to run enough to get to the tuner... You will need to install the MAP and IAT sensors. (Or if you decide to just go with the MAF you can avoid this step or leave it up to the tuner to do once you get there.)

Then you can load the base Bluebird DET calibration (downloaded from the AEM forum) using a laptop and you should be all set to drive to the tuner.

I wouldn't try to re-use the old calibration that came with it.

Yes, i do plan to run the MAP and IAT sensors. I don't know how to download those settings or even where on the AEM forum to look for it (and i have been looking, just don't know if in the right place.) Can it be done just by connecting the ems (by way of the provided cable) to a laptop, going to the forum and then downloading it? and i do thank you for your response.

This is a link to the AEM forums: AEM Performance Electronics Forum - Index

Here is the Instructions and Manuals thread: EMS Instructions

Here is the latest Tuner software (for your laptop): Download the latest version of AEMPro here. Also includes AEMLog!

Download and install the tuner software on your laptop. The cable you're going to use is a regular old serial cable (make sure your laptop has a serial port or you have a USB-to-serial adapter).

When you install the Tuner software, I believe it will also unpack all the base calibrations for you into the AEM programs files folder. That's where you'll find the base calibration you need.
