Altering JWT ECU with SAFC?
Can I alter the settings on the Jim Wolf ECU with a SAFC or are they locked in? There are a few things I would like to adjust and I am just wondering if I can use the SAFC.

You can skew with the SAFC. Depends on what you're adjusting with it, tbh.

Moving this to the tuning section.

Yes. You can do anything the SAFC will do.

Some say its pointless and some say it helps, theres a couple threads on the other forum about it...

Why would they say its pointless?

The JWT is purposely rich, so the SAFC is a great companion to the JWT. I have this set up right now.

and ill be running it also in about a week. Its the same thing as having a Calum basic with the SAFC2 like I used to. Great for fine tuning the A/F's. You can use the SAFC to lean out the mixture more before your boost kicks in to get the turbo to spool up quicker and then you can lean it out at the RPM where your motor hits full boost just to pull the most out of the turbo down low. Theres tons of nice things you can do with the SAFC....

My setup is SR20ve, 4-2-1 header, JWT pop charger, test pipe, 2.5 inch exhaust, pathfinder mass air flow, 8.8 pound flywheel, B15 clutch and Ultra plug wires. The JWT ECU I have seems to be dumping gobs of fuel and I was hoping the SAFC would help out a little. I do know on some rom tunes, the afc is not functional, which is why I posted this. Thanks for the help guys.

Im not understanding where your getting that the SAFC is not fuctional on some rom tunes. Maybe if the A/F's are already perfect. But thats a good thing. That means you can sell your SAFC and save some money. But for it to be not functional you would have NOT be able to change anything. But thats impossible unless you have it hooked up wrong. I say that because your Literaly HACKING into the maf signal before it even touches the ECU. Once the safc sees the Maf signal and tweaked it...then and only then does the ECU see it.

Now on some cars its pointless to tune the non WOT side of things because the ECU tries to correct the settings using the O2 sensor and eventually start to win. But on our cars thats not really a problem. Well it not on mine at least. I dont even run an O2 sensor though...
