MAP stands for Manifold Absolute Pressure. That should give it away right there. =]
You need the MAP sensor to get a signal downstream from the throttle body which usually means the intake manifold. The IAT sensor should be as close to the MAP sensor signal possible, but putting it on the other side of the throttle body is fine and very common practice.

Absolutely. I've done this for forum members in the past and I feel I'm getting pretty good at it. It may take a few iterations but I should be able to get you running much better if we e-mail Calibration files back and forth.

Ben, would you be willing to do this for me for a fee or any sort? I'm going to focus on all of this as soon as I get my wideband and N60 installed in the next week or two. I just need to purchase NDS so I can do some map logging. Or do you have any other program recommendations?

I can't help you with Calum or NIStune stuff over e-mail. I'm not comfortable enough with it (I've actually never tuned with it yet) to tune over e-mail. I know everyone assumes I'm good with that sort of thing. I'm not. Not yet. =(

We by-passed all that and went straight to stand-alones a couple years ago and leapfrogged the daughter board stuff. I'm learning as I go, but I'm not going to feel comfortable unless I have it in front of me.

Any specific map/iat sensor combo i should use for my AEM EMS?

AEM sells MAP sensors with varying ranges. Their 3.5 bar MAP sensor is very popular and a no-brainer for those planning on running less than 36.25 psi (which I'm guessing includes you). I believe it is around $150.

If you'd like there are cheaper options that are just as good.

The venerable GM 3-bar MAP sensor is popular. $65 and good for up to 29 psi.

Yes, I see that too. Check the AEM forums to see if anyone is using them. AEM doesn't make sensors "in house" so its just something they found thats cheaper. I can't comment on quality since I don't have any direct experience with the brass units. I have however used everything on the DIYAutoTune site, and it all works great.
