Thread: COP (coil on plug) pencil coils that will fit a FWD engine.

A) Some will argue otherwise. With a coil cover its all the same.

B)What spark issues are you talking about at high RPMs?

You won't exceed the capacity of the stock coil NA.

QR25DE coils look like this. I have no other info right now but will add it if I find out more.

Dan has fitted the GSX-R coils and says they fit great with a little modification. They don't "snap" on to the valve cover and mount perfectly that way, but they are the right height and provide a great seal. I think he's written a How To on the install that should be approved soon. I'm going to update the info in the first thread.

I have a set of 2006 gsxr coils around here ....I did not know they fit , I would just need a box to run them with the AEM then ....hmmm

the S15 SR20det COP is the correct coil to use. It fits the spark plug galley of the VE head and accepts the spark plug correctly. it also utilizes the mounting screw of the 20v valve cover.



Split fire also makes an upgrade for the stock S15 coil. which will also work.

i pretty much think the S15 and the 20v and VET use the same coil.

I am using the S15 coils in my motor now.
