ca18det ig good but you need a sood oil pump witch is hard to find because is a old engine ... in romania 90 % of ca18det's have problemas with the crank , and a new crank here is 54 000 000 lei ( 1600 euro ) :| so in my opinion is a junk

ive got a running sr20det swapped s13 running on megasquirt. car made 303whp and 300ft-# of tq on a dyno dynamics dyno. completely stock bottom end, stock cams, stock intake and a to4e 60 trim. the car uses a q45 ignitior, custom 36-1 optical cas trigger wheel and stock COP. the only troubles im having now are my start up tables.
