Thread: Sr20det megasquirt please help

Hi first of all , my name is Mihai , I am from romanaia , i'm a student .
I have a nissan 200sx ( s13 ) with a sr20det from a pulsar , i have made a adaptor plate for the gearbox , custom engine mounts , etc . Because the pulsar engine has a distribuitor a have to made a choise: to cut the firwall ( not a good option ) or to use a stand alone . I do not have mouch monney so i have build a megasquirt from scratch .


My setup is :
ms1 2.2 , vr conditoner added , boost cont , wideband ( lc-1 ) ,gm coil pack with ingnitor build in , 60-2 pullery , 444 cc inj , itb ( stock from pulsar ) , t28 ( stock pulsar)


Quiestion , can someone help me with a base map with good spark table ? ( the afr i can tune )

I recommend Dan Martin's timing map for you to use as a base.

It's easy. You put the numbers in by hand. You could make it even easier by making your rpm and load points the same.

Cool project, post some pics of car and engine.

i have a little bit more work and then i will test the megasquirt ...
i have to :
make watter lines
air lines
downpipe
custom 60-2 trigger
cut the hood to fit air plenum
and of course the electrical parth


ps: the person in pic is me, the little board is vr conditioner and knock cont ( if is interes i will post the orcad layout

has any one run megasquirt on sr20det ? because i could't find any setup on net ...

Have you looked on the MegaSquirt forums?

yes .... no luck , just ca18det ( junk engine in my oppinion ...)

I've got some other guy PMing me about putting MegaSquirt on an SR20. He's having trouble finding info too.

It's looking like Serious Business might be the best source for that info in a couple months since they are doing a PnP system.


In the mean time you could look through my VEMS thread. In many ways VEMS is similar to MegaSquirt (the both used MegaTune at the time). It might help you some. It might just confuse the crap out of you. =/

(CA18DET is not junk. It's really a baby RB with superior valve design making high revs easy to obtain.)
