If anyone was close to me I would solder it in fior 20 bucks no problem. Before I started working on cars I worked in electronics. Nistune seems like the best option out there right now. I wouldn't hesitate if I needed a board right now, I actually like to solder for some reason. It is just when you do it all day your eye's go bonkers.

Tunercode... Nothing more to say.

actually yes there is. Tunercode firmware should run any standard ROM board, including Nistune boards, just email us the BIN file and we generate into an ENT (containing consult update firmware) and program it into the board

calumsult v2 boards have the additional aux IO functionality which the Nistune boards dont have for the extra IO programming in Tunercode (if you are going to use it)

^Updates on the NIStune from you guys? I'm looking to get one of these for my daily. If I like it, I'll will probably get another one for my project car. So the type 3 works like a RT instead of a basic board?

NIStune

^This is the site I found.

YouTube - Nistune Real Time ECU Tuning for Nissans Demo

^Pretty good YouTube VID of how it works.

Tunercode firmware is not to be used on anything other than a Calumsult board, as per agreement between Calum and Dave. Unless that's changed, running Tunercode firmware on a Nistune isn't permitted.

Are you saying that you have persmission from Dave to utilize Tunercode modified firmware on a Nistune ECU?

Actually, if you purchase TunerCode, you can run it on any one single daughter board you want, provided you can physically download the bin to it.

My understanding of Nistune is that you can't actually download a bin other than a Nistune encoded ENT file to the Nistune daughter board, and I think you need another piece of hardware called a "Base Image Programmer" to do it. Therefore you can't run TunerCode on a Nistune daughter board. Also, I don't think the Nistune daughter board supports emulation, so real-time programming would not be possible without running a Nistune ENT bin.
