can any of you nistune users comment on the ability to hide cel's on an obd2 ecu with the nistune software? i would really like the ability to mask my crank sensor code and my egr codes.

Has anyone ever tried a stepdown harness for a b13 nistune to b14? Will that work?

I'm using a stepdown for a Calum B13 RT on a B14 harness.

It works fine. It won't pass you w/ emissions, since OBD2 tests aren't like OBD1 tests, but it'll run the motor just like any other OBD1 SR20.

Thanks, Cliff. Just want to get more info because I have a guy with a b14 that wants to tune his car. Right now nistune is his option and since nistune hasn't brought the type 4 boards out for sale I thought getting the type 3 board and using a stepdown would work for him. Thanks again.

if he could wait another month or two i think Matt will have the final product out...but dont quote me. last i heard from him he had a small check list of things he needed to fix with the board and it would be ready to go.

I just sent my spare ECU off to Andy at Autovaughn. If it checks out ok, its getting the board installed. I am currently running a JWT ECU on my T25 setup. However, I am upgrading to a T28 with water/meth, and wanted the ability to tune the ECU without sending it back and forth to JWT. I am really looking forward to it
