There's some general info and vids on the other forum. One of the local 240 guys is using nistune. He took his car to a well known shop and dyno'd it with a jwt ecu and then a nistune. Preety good results if you ask me. I'll be taking my car to his shop as soon as my VE swap is complete and get my nistune board.

Here's the link.

If your ECU is upto 1995 then we can do (Type 4) B14 SR20DE ECUs no problems. This is listed on our boards page at NIStune - Nissan Realtime ECU tuning

The later model 1996+ ECUs I'm still working on. Those later model ECUs have the OBD-II code in separate memory, so we are working on a OBD-II version of the Type 4 board which is compatible with 1996+ ECUs.

(We have the board layout ready and getting quotes for prototypes to be built at the moment)

A few people have asked me if Nistune boards would support TunerCode ECU extensions and the answer here is that I see no reason why we cant. We would just take the TunerCode BIN file and add our realtime tuning consult extensions to the firmware and then program it to the board

However it wont have the auxillary I/O boards that the Calum 2.0 RT boards are capable of, but all the other things like switching stuff off and RPM extension will work in any board. Hope that helps!

So in a nutshell, the only thing I will need is a '95 OBD2 ECU, and I can use a Nistune daughterboard? That's a great first step for me, but I will still need the Tunercode extensions in order to fool the emissions/OBD testing stations. Thanks for the reply. I wanted the v2 for the auxillary inputs, but at this point I just need an ECU to run the car and pass inspection.

kinda off topic, but if you do decide to go with the aem unit, defiintly hold out till the series 2 box comes out, it has improvements over series 1 that is definitly work waiting till it comes out

I've decided to stay with the Calum route.

It's going to be tricky, though. I'm going to need TWO Calum ECU's. A b14 Basic to ensure that I can pass emissions/OBD testing, and a B13 Rev.2 R/T. I will use the B13 at all times until the B14 is required for passing inspection. Probably going to have a step down harness made by fellow members of the DEEP family.
