As far as I know, Calum is not doing any Realtime ECUs right now and wont who knows for how long. To get them second hand is lottery and they will be priced as new, because they are so hard to get.

The ultimate is fine if you have a wideband, but the only bad part is you will have to know your ECU base timing and fight with the TP on the ECU if you are changing it via Throttle% and RPMs, unless you can get the Greddy Pressure sensor and do it load based... Its more pricey than a realtime, yes.

man i have been wondering the same thing.. i did a search the other day but i didnt find this thread..

bein that the r/t ecus are hard to come by, and burning chips is a pita i've been thinkin about goin with the greddy ultimate also, not to mention the local shops will know how to tune it, i've talked to a few shops about the calum real time and basic an they're clueless, they always suggest the aem stand alone or a safc 2 or the greddy lol.

i've been doin some reading an it seems like the greddy is better then the safc's so i think thats what im gonna get.

that is unless calum starts doin business again, then i will get one of those an learn to tune my self lol

I'm not picking on you. Good fuc$in$ lord there are so many other options out there as far as ECU's go. JWT or Emance if u don't want to tune it yourself, Nistune it if u want to tune it yourself it's going to cost you the same as the Greddy Emange with the software. Again not picking on you in general.

the nistune seems easy enough, http://www.nistune.com/docs/NIStune_Type_3_Hardware_Install_Sheet.pdf i could have my friend do that for me easily. but after i buy that and the cable its like 600 bux. wish it was a bit cheaper but atleast they're readily avalible.

i forgot about that option, i just want to get something tunable. im going to get a wideband also and hopefully a b15 lsd trans if im lucky, then i can fine tune the car wheres its at until i get cams next year an bigger exhaust an a better header

Don't even look at the cable as a extra cost. If u like 90's nissan that cable will be with for a long time.

Shops and tuners in Trinidad are clueless about the Calum ECU's. However, very familiar with the Greddy line

What is to be clueless about the Calum ECU?

If you have no clue what K number / VQ table / Fuel Maps / Timing Maps are, then you have no business tuning, especially if you are a "professional" working at a "tuning shop".

he's right tho, i've called 3 shops an they dont wanna touch it.. they will but they try to get me to go with a safc most the time.. the calum basics are worse cause they dont have the chip burning stuff..
