OBDII Data Logging TP
Anyone know how to get Data scan or other apps to data log TP? It's not hard on OBDI ECU's but seems to be harder on OBDII hehe.

How to: add TP streaming on B13/S13 etc ecus - SR20 Forum

Figured it out.

The B14 code is much more complex, including the TP calculation, which is quite different from the B13 method. The whole fueling system is different, and yet to be fully figured out. All of this will be available with TunerCode for the B14, its just a matter of when. I'm almost finished with the B13, then have a commitment for S13 SR20DET, which hopefully won't take too long. B14 support is coming.

Dave forget those OBDI guys, they already have better xdfs than us unloved B14 OBDII people.

We truly need this and more of the B13 features.

Oh, so the calculation for TP we found for the 300Z ECU isn't necessarily the same? Jimminy Christmas.

Well, in this case its more a matter of fate than love. My bud Neal Harrison, whom some of you met at the convention in Savannah, wanted to build a 240sx for ITA, so i worked on the 8 bit KA24E code to tune that. A guy in the shop next door, Brandon Terretti, has a DET swapped 240 and wanted what I did with the KA24E on it, so I started working on the 16 bit SR20DET code. Plus, Brandon was nice enough to let me have his car for development. When I hooked up with Calum, he had the RTV2 for the B13 almost finished, so it was only natural to complete that first. Interestingly enough, the 16 bit SR20DE, SR20DET, and KA24DE code is pretty much a port of the 8 bit KA24E code, so I was able to make lots of progress. The B14 OBDII code is very much different, and is much more complex. I'll get there with it, but it will take some time. Hang in there, as it is coming.

Cheers,
Dave

I've not seen any of the 300z code, so i don't know. Do you know what processor it uses?

I recently read this to catch up a bit on the chipped ECU tuning:

ECCS • View topic - A long tutorial for tuning nissan's ECUs

I believe the guy describes the processor it uses at the beginning, then way at the end he gives the formula the ECU uses to find the TP value.

He describes the EPROM, but no mention of the CPU. I just did some googling and didn't find it. I think it's an 8 bit processor, but don't know which one. HD6303 maybe?

Yah, I was afraid that might be the case. As far as which processor it uses, your guess is better than mine. =]

I found the TP used for the B14 fuel map lookup, which is the one you're probably looking for. Is there a particular consult register you want to use for it?
