Wideband/Tuning Questions
Hey guys, I've got a few questions regarding wideband AFR's. I'm new in this turbo business (haven't even got it on yet, but have it), and am trying to get everything together before I get started. I was just going to get a regular AFR gauge for the stock O2 sensor, but a buddy of mine has talked me into getting a wideband. I just don't know much about them, what is the best one to get, what is the best priced one. I just need some general pointers.

I saw a zeitronix zt2 for sale on the other forum for $450, but I don't need all the other fancy stuff it's coming with. I just want a basic setup for a decent price.

I'm also looking for suggestions of tuning, whether to get an SAFC on the stock ECU, or just get a JWT or Calum, but I know nothing about those - I've even done hours of research and it all just gave me a headache. lol

Any help appreciated,
Nathan_Barstow

I recomend the Innovate LC1 wideband. Got it for 299$US Brand New and Shipped from "Poor Boy Parts" on ebay. Works very good for me, you can also datalog it so !

Currently we are using the good ol JWT ecu and cleaning it up with a GEN 1 SAFC. No issues with that combo(for me atleast). Went between 10psi and switched to 20psi and had no hesitation/breaking up.. And for gas mileage a full tank last me 2weeks no highways where I live tho, just alot of city miles lol

Boy has this been covered a lot. I tried searching though and couldn't find much. There are tons of threads and none of them came up when I searched...

This is mainly what you need to read when it comes to choosing a wideband controller: The Great Wideband Shootout Part 1; How do wideband air fuel sensors work? > MotoIQ > Magazine Articles

As for tuning, around here you're mostly going to get recommendations for a Calum RT ECU when given the option between Calum, JWT (non-tunable) and SAFC (how much detonation do you want?).

the best thing too about the plx is its 18mm thick, SUPER slim for a install just about anywhere you could imagine, which is really nice
