Probably a rookie question
As the title says, its probably a rookie question, but will the car idle at all if the vacuum lines arent hooked up completely? I did the swap and the car starts but wont run for long... but it will run if I keep spraying Ether in there. I dont want to keep spraying ether because motors can get addicted to that (I found that out from the Army. Had some trucks we called "Crack Trucks" because theyre addicted to Ether like its crack, so they wont start unless it has Ether)

Anyways, just wanted an opinion. Also the AAC valve isnt hooked up either, broke that while putting it in the engine bay, I know that has something to do with idling, but i'll replace that in the next couple days.

It's not likely that the car would idle under these conditions (both broken vacuum lines and broken air control valve).

Yeah, Im hooking the vacuum lines up today, what should I expect with the broken AAC valve? If the vacuum lines are hooked up then it should idle somewhat, but I know its not gonna idle as good as it can with that broken valve.

It depends on how broken it is. If it allows unmetered air to enter the intake, it's not going to idle properly, if at all.

The two metal prongs are still intact, but the plastic cover that covers the prongs is broken. With a little bit of electrical tape and the correct plug, it might work right?

No harm in trying it out. It might run until you can get it fixed up.

Do you have the fuel lines on properly? The feed with the filter in line goes to the rail, and the return comes off the regulator.
