VE tune with calum basic.
OK well i have a sr20ve with some basic bolt-ons including N1 cams that i am trying to tune. i am using a LM-1 with a xd16 guage to data log my pulls. i have my k value in the right area and my latency is spot on but when i go wot no matter what i do from 4500 - 5100 RPM my car leans out real bad. as soon as the cams kick in my Afr gets really rich. i go from having a 12.8 Afr at like 4200 RPM to having a 14.0 Afr at 5000-5200. i have tried moving the cam switch point but 5100-5300 seems best. now in the tune in order to get a some what close Afr i have values going from 3600 RPM i am at 20 4400 RPM is then jumped to 34 4800 RPM i am up to 48. this gives me a 12.5afr from 3600 to 4200. 4200-45/4600 RPM i get 12.8/.9 then by 49/5000 RPM i am at 13.6/.8 Afr. cams kick in and i am down to a value of 20 to get a 12.8 Afr again. i cant for the life of me smooth that Afr jump at all with out switching the cams on very early like 4800 RPM. doing that and you can feel the car lag till 5200 RPM or so. the more i add to the 4800 rpm area the richer it gets there and also riches the AFR after the cam switch so i then have to take value out at 5200 and doing that then leans out 4800 rpms area.

If you have your WOT numbers up to 48 that means you will probably have to raise your K value a lil bit... You want those WOT numbers to be arround 35-40 and you will get more consistent AFR's

fixed my setup. i redid the tune from scratch and realized i didn't adj the load scale and the maf values i was using were incorrect as well. now the car runs alot better still using a high k value but no more leaning out bad before the cam switch
