Thread: Problem with Moates BURN 1

Hi!

On the last week a member JCGator42 sold me a used moates burner 1 and it look nice but i have problems for read, program, check, erase etc... I install the software and change the USB - Burner cable but still the problem.

check:

are you using the proper eprom's...also are they rewritable-could possibly be you issue

yep... I don't know what happend...

I reinstate and persist the problem...

Try it on a different machine, could be a compatibility issue with yours. Post up your PC and OS. Also try different chips, I gave you a spare set I had laying around.

But first of all, make sure the chips are facing the correct way in the burner and that you are erasing them properly, follow the steps in the tutorial by Calum below:

also, make sure you are not creating any static while handling them, not getting them close to any magnetic fields, or having any static discharges(they can delete any info/data etc on the prom)

i was having an issue like this while installing some eprom's into a card for a phone system...i grounded myself then did it and didn't have any issues

Resolute problem… My PC USB port configuration...
