Aem Ems?
OK so i am looking to possibly run a EMS on my 91 ser. the unit i think i am looking for is a 30-1600? i have a innovate LM-1 wideband with a x-16 guage that i can send o2 signal out to the ems it seems. do i need any thing other than this to make this work on say a sr20ve that is already in the car running on a calum based ecu? lastly the cheapest i can find it is about $1300 if any one knows where i can get one cheaper that would also be great.
thanks in advance for the help.

I'm pretty sure you have the basics covered. AEM EMS + Wideband controller.

The SR20VE that running on the Calum, is that with an unmodified, stock 1991 DE wiring harness? Basically, you're going to want to buy the AEM for the wiring harness you have or start re-pinning the wiring harness (not hard).

It's pretty tough to get deals on AEM. You might try eBay or used or see if your local tuner shop will cut you a deal.

the harness is pritty stock at the moment just have a N60 maf wired in. i was under the impression that the 30-1600 was for the NX and g20 and dont they share the same pin out on from 91-93? there is also the hint of the CAS not working on RWD but how bout FWD? arent you ben going with a AEM or are you still using the VEM?

I have looked at the AEM for my tuning needs, but since I have to pass cruddy OBD2 emisisons here I don't know if it would work or not. I think it would be sick though. Plug in and tune for better power and response.

Yes, AEM is going in my car along with the new engine. I have the stock CAS disc and the modified CAS disc I can try. It doesn't hurt to try it on the stock CAS disc. It will work, just have trouble at high rpm (if it does have trouble). Then just buy the CAS disc with less slots from AEM if you end up having problems.

FWD cas disc has no issues, only the RWD ones.

The MAP sensor is a vital part you don't want to get wrong. AEM works well from my experience. GM should be fine as well. I'm sure there are other options out there that might be better and possibly cheaper. I'd probably rock this thing. MPX4250AP MAP Sensor DIYAutoTune.com
Unless the AEM or GM is cheaper.
